1. Service User and Carer Experience of the Mental Health Home Treatment Service

    Healthwatch Worcestershire looked at new model of support for adults with mental health issues, implemented by Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust (WHCT)

  2. Children and Young People’s Mental Health

    Report -

    This work has been carried out to gather feedback from young people, parents and carers about their experiences of accessing mental health support and the progress made by Worcestershire’s Transformation Plan. In addition to gather feedback about access to CAMHS and the quality of the CAMHS service, we aimed to find out what other support young people and parents were aware of and had received.

  3. People’s Experience of Adult Social Work Services

    Our aim was to understand the whole process of how people contacted and experienced social work services.
    Healthwatch Worcestershire sought the cooperation of the Worcestershire County Council to enable this to take place.

  4. Focus on Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing

    As part of our engagement over the last year Healthwatch Worcestershire has been asking children and young people about emotional wellbeing.

  5. Autism Spectrum Conditions Report

    Healthwatch Worcestershire carried out work to gather feedback and experiences from people with Autism Spectrum Conditions and their Carers, to identify progress made and further action needed in implementing the All Age Autism Strategy.

  6. NHS 111 Report

    Report -

    Healthwatch Worcestershire wanted to find out about people’s awareness and experiences of NHS 111. We decided that this was especially important given current pressures on Accident and Emergency services and Primary Care

  7. Care in the Corridor at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital

    Report -

    Healthwatch Worcestershire decided to speak with patients being looked after in corridor areas about their experience and what might be done to improve it. The purpose of these visits was to follow up on the implementation of our recommendations as set out in the WAHT Action Plan produced in 2017.

  8. Going to the Doctors 2016 – 2017

    Healthwatch Worcestershire undertook our “Going to the Doctors” survey as primary care, and in particular GP services, these are the issue that we hear about most often. The survey was designed to be a quick, structured way to capture this feedback.

  9. Meaningful Activity in Care & Nursing Homes for Older People Enter and View Reports

    Healthwatch Worcestershire carried out Enter and View visit to 13 care and nursing home. The focus for the visits was to look at how residents in these settings are being provided with meaningful activities that support their health and well-being.

  10. Spotlight on: Communication with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Communities

    This “Spotlight On” Report, where we use information that we have gathered to highlight an issue or topic. Language and communication problems were the concerns most often raised by individuals from BAME communities. This Report uses information gathered from work carried out for HWW by Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire to assist us.

    This Healthwatch Worcestershire “Spotlight On” Report, uses information we have gathered to highlight an issue or topic. We asked carers about what information and support has been provided to them and their experience of caring for someone in a mental health crisis situation.

  12. Results of Healthwatch Worcestershire “Awareness of the Care Act 2014” Snapshot Survey

    Healthwatch Worcestershire undertook a “light touch” piece of work to find out more about the extent to which people had heard of the Care Act, and how they would find information about it. We also wanted to know about people’s use of and preference for online sources of information.

  13. Parents & Carers of Children Under 5

    Healthwatch Worcestershire has been asking about the experiences of parents and carers of children under 5 across Worcestershire. We particularly wanted to find out about experiences of care, support and advice during pregnancy and birth, following birth and in early years. We also wanted to hear about experiences of accessing health care and advice for younger children.
