The Covid-19 Survey was aimed at the general public was developed, in collaboration with the NHS and Worcestershire County Council (WCC), based on Healthwatch England’s template to find out people’s experiences of health and care service during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The Stonewall report LGBT in Britain - Health Report (2018) and the House of Commons Women and Equality Committee report (2019) identified that in spite of the strides made towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality in recent years, many LGBT+ people face significant barriers to leading healthy, happy and fulfilling lives.
In the NHS Long Term Plan there is a commitment to improving people’s health through prevention and
encouraging people to live healthy lives. It stresses the importance of giving everyone a healthy start in life.
Healthwatch Worcestershire decided to speak with patients being looked after in corridor areas about their experience and what might be done to improve it. The purpose of these visits was to follow up on the implementation of our recommendations as set out in the WAHT Action Plan produced in 2017.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (WAHT) invited Healthwatch Worcestershire (HWW) to assist them to understand patient experience at the Fracture Clinics so that this could also inform their Action Plan.
